A dragonfly hovers by holding four wings in perfect tension. This one holds two kinds of beauty the same way. The upper wings are dense with color – jewel-toned beads, crystals, gold spirals packed into every surface. The lower wings are bare silver, nothing but curling wire and open space.

It doesn’t choose between them. It needs both to fly.

The Artistry

The upper wings are miniature mosaics – deep reds, blues, greens, and pinks layered with gold spiral wire, turquoise crystals, and pink glass beads. The lower wings contrast completely: open silver with wire spirals, letting light pass through. At center, a large iridescent cabochon shifts from warm copper to cool rainbow, framed in braided copper wire. Dark blue glass eyes and wire antennae complete the head. The elongated tail carries its own collection of teal, crimson, yellow, and purple beads.
