Patchwork Love Quilt Pin

Every Piece Chosen

A quilt is never random. Every fabric is picked for a reason – this one from a dress she outgrew, that one from curtains in the first apartment, this scrap because the color was right. The word “Love” is stitched into the corner because of course it is. What else would you call the thing that holds all these pieces together?

A needle passes through the patchwork with a chain trailing from its eye, because this quilt is still being made. The best ones always are.

The Artistry

A rectangular quilting frame holds a patchwork of hand-painted squares – orange crosshatch, lime green with red polka dots, purple and yellow florals, teal and blue, pink stripes, red with silver mirrors, painted roses. A heart in the upper corner reads “Love” in hand-painted script. A stainless steel quilting needle passes diagonally through the quilt with a chain draping from its eye. Gold braided rope borders the bottom edge.
